More than 120,000 people living along river banks in Nairobi face eviction in the latest attempt to save the rivers from massive pollution and degradation. An estimated 500 acres of land in Mwiki area has been set aside for their planned resettlement. The director of the national environmental management authority - Muusya Mwinzi says he wants politicians to keep off the resettlement program for it to succeed. This is likely to be yet another explosive political issue given the high number of those earmarked for relocation
