No, but I have spent a lot of time in arid, semi arid and desert South Australia.
Camping, hunting, just sitting around, we also have "orgies of flight"!
Take our models, kites and rockets out in the middle of nowhere, you don't get any noise complaints!
I asked friend of mine who is into native Australian plants about edible plants, he just laughed!
Where I normally camp there is salt bush, spinifex and eucalypts.
Living off the land is basically, meat, meat and more meat!

live in the desert ?

What I meant was here in SA there is not much to eat away from the coast. We have quandongs or native peach and a few succulents, but they grow near the coast.
Inland SA is arid or semi arid, the land can support 1 person per 100 square kilometres! It is a very unforgiving environment, no water except from bores in summer.
A very stark, dry, quiet place, pretty though.
The aboriginal people ate lizards, birds, kangaroos.
When I go camping I usually cook my bunny's on a spit.

Never mind, I just realized it says "to be completed by the last day in july," that should be good, thanks.
This sounds good, except for task 5, I live in South Australia!
Not many edible plants here, in fact I cant think of a single one!
Can I cheat and cook a bunny?

Cook whatever you want as long as it is in a purely primitive method, no using foil or pans and such. As for wild edibles, well not knowing where they are is not an excuse. That is the point of the challenge. Go out and learn one then report back.

I don't know, man. I joined the group today but I'm concerned my night in the woods might turn into a week on the couch! LOL
