Val Herrera gives a walk-around tour of his ultra-rare Alfa Romeo GTV6 Twin Turbo. Less than forty of these hot rod Alfas were made in the late 1980s by Reeves Callaway of Callaway Corvette fame.
I've always been around Alfas, ever since I was old enough to understand things, I've been going crazy whenever I see an Alfa Romeo. Me and my dad work every week to get our GTV 6 driveable, and hopefully as good looking as this one, atleast visibly ^^
Can't wait until I finish school and hopefully I'll get to work at an Alfa workshop.
Alfas are so much fun... Restored a few GTV6's (check my channel) made some Race cars, worked on Callaways and have restored some of those too as well as Maratonas... so elegant and so much fun, nice restoration congrats!
By the way during development, Callaway found out that they could boost high (to nearly 400HP I think) and still the bottom would not fall apart, they only settled on the lower boost as not to "conflict" with safety and "other" car makers, as a tuner this car is an amazing.
I love Alfa Romeo. I own an Alfetta 1.8 '72 and a 156 1.8TS 16V '97.
The GTV has a design I always liked, since the showout in "Agent 007 Octopussy" movie, but also here in Italy is not easy to find one in good conditions.
Beautifull car Sir. Thats one of the best cars you can have. Fiat Group is the best.
Now in Canada you are getting the Fiat 500 Abarth and Fiat just bought the Chrysler Group.
Well, in the 60's, Fiat dominated de US automotive market but then the fuel went so low that the american opted for the big engines and Fiat had to leave.
The small european turbocharged cars should get into the american market. Fiat Punto Gt, Fiat Uno Turbo, etc.
Awesome, what a gorgeous car
