its such a shame watching this now, and remembering how optomistic we all were and proud then looking back at how dissapointing it all was, not just england the whole world cup was a farce. i almost shed a tear towards the end of this.
Lol, I get that you're bitter about the way Americans portray soccer/football, and I prefer soccer/football these days to other sports, including American Football, but American football is simultaneously a very, very physical game, and something of a chess match. Both are fine games, it's just that they're called things that don't make sense in the US.
As it turns out, some people need history and language lessons.
American football came about from its development and evolution from "Rugby Football", and used to have more of a tradition of drop-kicking. To differentiate, it was being called "football", since "soccer" wasn't as prominent a sport in the Americas. And it stuck, thus giving two sports incredibly stupid names in North America, instead of just the one silly nickname for Football-Football.
@dEdGrimley ,,,,,,,,didnt know the youtube comments section was an english exam, so smart ass do you care to explain the reasoning behind the naming of american football,,,,,,
lol We've got a generation of chavs of our own, we just haven't got a fun nickname for them.
Let's at least agree that it's not a competition and we've each got our own set of dictionary destroyers. When I see my little teenage cousins updating their Facebook statuses, saying they need to "study for their English exam 2mrw", Well, I point out the irony and laugh.
Lol As much as I love a good self-abasement argument, stop talking down England, I might move there still xD.
imagine marradona on jeramy kyle show.
we asked in 1986 did you deliberately handle the ball against england, you said no.
well well well, you are one dirty cheating little liar
*gasp* *huuuuuh* booooooooooooooooooo
marradona walks off stage*
yeeeeeeeeeaaaaaaahhhhh!
