I agree, I enjoy both and don't try to compare anymore than Star Trek vs Star Wars.
Though it would have been great for Classic Who to have Star Trek's budget.

First I saw the JNT era when it happened so before there was web fandom i made my evaluation.
Inferior Doctors, terrible companions except for Adric, Nyssa and Ace and far to much relliance on popular villians
Davies even weaker companions including Donna the Cow a loser who should have never been put on the TARDIS

@MagicKirin Bollocks. The JNT years are only bad through reputation, not by the actual merits of his era - which were fantastic.
Same goes for the RTD era.

Well you are not going to get people to agree DW vs ST.
But I will point out that Star Trek did deal with more social and political issues.
And ST gets the nod because of the terrible work done by JNT and Russell Davies

The makers of this programme seem to show Doctor Who more of a parody of a Sci-Fi then anything else :/ such as suggesting the Doctor has sex with his companions in some sorta "Austin Powers" room in the TARDIS...and also was there much of a point mentioning the TV movie just to call it "not great"? pretty worthless really
