The school starts pressing the boy to apologize i.e. to agree with an obvious lie. This case triggers painful and far-reaching conflict in the boy`s family. What is the price of human dignity in a social order built on lies?

Made before 1989 this brave movie raises many sad questions about the whole hypocrisy of communism.
