  • TV clicks for an hour now before coming on. Dots throughout screen when it finally comes on. Geek Squad coming next week. I will take my receipt and myself to Small claims court after that. I don't like being shammed. I don't know how I can lose this one with all of the complaints online. Will keep everyone posted on the outcome!

Tell Samsung that you don't have enough money to even pay rent or mortgage. That is key to getting FREE service. And Also, tell them that you already had a service man come out and tell you that it was the DLP chip. LIE to get what u deserve. FREE Service and Parts. I had mine fixed, but it looks like shit and will never be the same.

  • We will both have a white TV screen in 6 months.

Lets get this fixed. BBB, State District Attorney.

  • I MEANT TOSHIBA

  • I HAVE THE SAME WHITE SPOTS ON MY MITSUBISHI SO DON'T BUY IT EITHER!! AFTER TWO YEARS

  • Yup only a couple of days after purchase and ive got 2 white spots on screen :L

  • This happened with my Mitsubishi tv. They recalled some optical engines, but not the model that I had. I didnt see why my optical engine, which failed just like the ones that were recalled, would not be covered by Mitsubishi at 100%, but I got them to cover 60% of the cost.

These DLPs were rushed into the market. It doesnt matter what company makes them, they all have optical engines that fail. There are too many moving parts in these tvs.

  • ALL DLP tv's have this problem. Don't buy Samsung products? I'm using a Samsung 27" monitor right now that over 4 years old that's still going strong. Grow up.

  • Mine has same problem 56 samsung dlp. I am just going to buy a new one. Guess what it wont be a samsung! Samsung should give us a credit to buy a new tv anyone who bought their dlps

  • My small flat screen Polaroid screen is pure white! It started right on my B-day, I came back from horseback riding, turned it on, and it just showed white, with some lines. I turned it on/off a few times then it worked. But today, it seems likes is fucked for ever! And I can't play Call of Duty Black OPS! WTF! I'm not paying to fix it, the warranty is out. >:/ I'll just take my parents older tv, it's bigger anyway xD

  • i just started having this problem with my 63 dlp also what should i do

  • I just experienced this problem as well. So I called 800 samsung like was advised by others and was told my tv was out of warranty. Also that it's a chip that cost $200 and a additional $180 for labor. So almost 400 to fix this problem!

  • @kboy2k Read on this site,it will help you to get your tv fixed, hopefully for free.As many others have.Good luck.

google search ... samsung dlp white dot group facebook. It should come up in the search. If not.I can send the web page to your email address.
