Space touches us all on Earth - it is used for protecting our environment, for improving our everyday lives, for safety and security, and for stimulating our need for knowledge. Space is a key asset for Europe to face global challenges, for boosting our economic growth, for building our future.

  • ESA please do something cause NASA has been dragging its heels since the 70's

  • @lubo979 dont worry you're as much part of it as the restof europe 20 per cent of its funding comes directly from the european union so technically alleu nations are members but it would be good for bulgaria to be declared a full member, just think of the possibilities, its things like this that spark the imagination even in the financial climate all the best fromuk :)

  • i hope someday Bulgaria will join ESA

  • Good Luck in cosmic space Europa!

    Noroc Bun!

Greetings to all Humans of the Planet Earth from România.

  • If and when we first meet aliens out there, they won't call us Europeans or Americans or Russians, they will call us human. All nations should do their part individually as they are economically able and all nations should work together for the HUMAN future in space. The magnificent ISS proves that we are stronger when we work together.

  • @lyallsf i think australia can join ESA and become permanent member ! Your country by making it would win an independant space access (no national yes it's truth) but the investissement will be fat on return for cheap space access for your national need on satellite for exemple !

Ariane 5 is 220 millions $ by launch, yes it's expensive, but by weight price in reality she is the cheapest on the fatests launcher in the world (cheaper in $/kg than delta 2, atlas 5, delta 4 ...)
