Got rid of my KT88s. The icepick treble is cured. Guitar = '74 Neck '76 Body Hardtail strat with a Billy Corgan loaded pickguard. Dimarzio BC2 BC1 + a Chopper in the middle. No noise gate needed. Mid-cut is OFF

@muaythai4lifelife The KT88s were just too harsh sounding for this head. EL34s cured the problem that i had with extreme treble. I could barely turn the presence up before. I'm sure the head can do Metallica-ish tones with the mid-cut on just a bit.
