Mendelssohn-Elijah-Dank sei dir, Gott

The Jerusalem Oratorio Choir has performed "Elijah" several times, most recently as part of a joint project with the choir and orchestra of the Christlichen Musik-und-Kunstakademie of Stuttgart, with whom we performed this oratorio in Israel and Germany, in the autumn and early winter of 2006, appearing, amongst other places, at the Gewandhaus, Leipzig. Most of the pictures in this video were taken during that project. The soundtrack, however, is from the first time we performed "Elijah", in Israel, in 2004.

Ich liebe Israel und Jerusalem,

mein Heimatland Deutschland und Dresden, und die Musik von Felix Mendelssohn. Zudem habe ich früher selbst an Orchestertourneen als Fagottist teilgenommen. Lauter gute Gründe, um von diesem Video begeistert zu sein.
