About the NDAA
The Senate has passed the National Defense Authorization Act, a bill that will give U.S. military control over the U.S streets bringing the battlefield to the United States , arrest American citizens without due process and herd them of to detention centers anywhere in the world.
The provision was hashed out in secret by Senators Carl Levin and John McCain. Lindsay Graham, a supporter of the bill, explained that it would, "basically say in law for the first time that the homeland is part of the battlefield" and people can be imprisoned without charge or trial "American citizen or not."
Republican Congressman Justin Amash called the provision of the bill, "one of the most anti-liberty pieces of legislation of our lifetime," adding that the language had been "carefully crafted to mislead the public"

I fully understand the severity of the this bill...by no means is it right to hold people without trial or their right of free speech...but you guys have to realize that this has been going on for awhile...not just with the Obama administration (now by no means am I defending him, I've never been a fan of his or any president), our government as a whole has once again fucked us over...and wanting Ron Paul for president isn't going to change anything...just so you guys know :D

Wow, my comment was removed. Wasn't aware I was so inflammatory, haha. I have since read the bill, or rather those sections that pertain to the arrest and detaining of American citizens without a trial, and it says, "The requirement to detain a person in military custody under this section does not extend to citizens of the United States." Note the use of 'requirement' here. It is also prefaced by a paragraph stating the the president's powers are not limited or expanded by the bill.
