  • Honestly, Lauren is beyond Dorothy- she can get much more challanging and sophisticated parts in any west end musical.

  • All the way through, I really didn't like Lauren, I thought she was corny and melodramatic. However, this performance is just exceptional. She became an actress here, not just a singer, and she kicked my old opinion about her where it hurt: fantastic performance!

  • goosebumbs!

  • Well sung but she can't do sad-classy like Judy.

  • @roseschocolate1991 I had goosebumps with Jessie. Just soooo much emotion filled in one song. She did Judy credit.

  • @1300PEREZ composed for the film A STAR IS Born 1953 ,Judy Garland sings the song in one take.

  • Perfection! x

  • does anyone know how far back this song goes?

  • Considering how much traffic there is on here for this song I can ony say "you really are brilliant Lauren" Interesting that eveyone elses voice gets compared to Laurens - must be that hers is the best. I thought so anyway- cant wait to see her in WWRY x

  • for me this was slightly OTT, it lacked subtlety

  • and sorry but i prefered Jessie Buckley's version of it, more truthful and believable imo. lauren still looked liked she was kinda smiling when she was meant to be angry/heartbroken

  • No doubt about Lauren always had an amazing voice, so for that respect she was a brilliant performer. its just i sometimes found her acting a bit fake or ott ; and it wasn't truthful or believable. which is why she wasn't my fav. i only started to like her and enjoy her performances more, from the semi-finals. mainly i think due to the brilliant danielle and lauren duet of 'Popular'.
