@Chev427BB Well that's what Yoshitaka Amano's original Artwork renders looks like. It seems like all of his artwork for all the Final Fantasy Characters bears no resemblence to the in-game graphics, but his artwork was before the in-game graphics. so it would be the other way around.
Because the original character designs by Yoshitaka Amano (who designed the main characters of at least the first 6 games) had a blonde Lenna and Faris, and a white haired Butz and Galuf, but the in-game sprites don't quite reflect the original character designs. I still find the hair colour issue a little odd, given how distinctive pink hair is they maybe should have used the game's hair colour as a modification to those original designs for consistancy, but that's why it happened.

I love how ugly their characters were back then!

FFVI is a much better game all round, but V is definitely my favourite. Purely because the main villain is a tree.

1:03 to 1:05 reminds me of Edgar from FFVI.

I think it's because in the original release her hair was pink, like Samus' was on NES Metroid. They just kept the sprite colors.

Butz looks almost as gender-confused as Faris, definitely not how I thought he'd look.

1:32 to 1:43 is my favorite part, I just love how the prelude sounds right there. :]

I struggle to decide between V and VI as my favourites, VI had a slightly better storyline but V's gameplay and atmosphere had a unique charm.
