What a waste! I`m a signaller on the hope valley line which is now at capacity, And with DB Shenker and Freightliner wanting to run more freight traffic from peak forest and tunstead running trains off chinley junction without impacting on other services is becoming impossible! Dear Margaret had it that the nationality of the purchaser of our National assets, our "crown jewels" did not matter as long as they made a profit etc. And in so saying she started a process whereby Germany is purchasing at bargain prices our railways and other transport systems. Of course we lose control. Hitler should not have been so impatient.

I Cant bear to watch this. In 2009 politicians from all main parties, were regarded amongst some of the most hated people in Britain. When you watch this video which is 20 odd years old, it proves they were as incompetent then as they are now. This is the only country I can think of that has privatised, sold off to foreign countries and shut everything down we ever had. And we just sit back and say 'well its market forces.'
