  • @tylerspyler2 the 6.0 turbo a spools faster and makes more boost than a 7.3 yes you dont have the high end spool but it spools low. we used to have a 7.3 our 6.0 tows way better i learned my shit in a shop where we see every different type of truck come in imaginable and feild testing not from a retired mechanic or some stupid ass book ive got at least 10 mechanics thatll tell u ur wrong about the 6.0 so go ahead tell everyone u kno it all cuz thats what you read in the book

  • @tylerspyler2 so you learned this shit out of a book> congradulations man.... Ill fill ya in on a little piece of information all we have is 6.0s around here ones got 365,000 miles its an 04 and has never had an issue mine has 180,000 now its my work truck yes there are bad ones but theres a hell of alot more good ones out than ppl think its all about maitence and ur in school you should know between stock 7.3 and a stock 6.0 the 6.0 is gonna beat it

  • @badassouthernboyI do not see any videos in your account? I also wanted to point out that I am at an automotive school at the moment. So I get the oportunity to ask retired mechanics about engines. They all say the same thing I said. There are good ones out there but most 03-04.5 are junk. The 7.3 is the more reliable engine of the two, and I have seen (not on youtube) 7.3's make more power than a similarly modded 6.0. So you say what you want but I know what i know.

  • @tylerspyler2 you hear that from all your friends or what? truth is that there are ALOT of really good 6.0s first gen to the end of their run its a unbelievable motor that was rushed into production it seems ppl just rag on the motor my dads a mechaninc and owns his own shop we honestly dont see to many 6.0s come in

  • @badassouthernboy 90% of all first gen 6.0 are no good. you jst happened to get the 10%

  • @tylerspyler2 idk man bout that the last sentence i got a 2003 6.0 and its a bad mother fucker absolutly rapes my old 7.3 i work the fuck out of it everyday 178,000 miles runs like a champ no egr 4in exhaust intake and a bully dog id never go back to a 7.3 EVER

  • @norfolkdash9 hahaha its all good (I have a little sister so i am used to it) The risk is very very slim is you use quality oil and a quality filter, I use rotella tripple protection and a napa gold filter. Just for the love of god, do not use a fram filter. They suck. And stay away from the 6.0, the 6.4 and the old 6.9. The 99-03 7.3 is the best choice for a truck. Good luck.

  • @tylerspyler2

Ah sweet. I hope you don't mind me asking all these questions lol, I just plan on getting a powerstroke here in the near future. So I'm guessing in the winter when you wait 15 minutes you think that the oil is thin enough to go ahead and drive it? And that the risk of blowing your oil filter and your HPOP off is very slim?

  • @norfolkdash9 Well If I let it idle for 15 minutes then drive it it takes a total of 45 minutes usually to get to temp. but even in the summer it still takes 15- 20 minutes to warm up.

  • @tylerspyler2

Oh I see man. Thanks. How long do you wait till she is warmed up? When the temp dial goes up?
