It's getting close! Still winter here, soon enough I can finally drive it after the snow and ice melts and see what it'll do!

  • Hey man!! where's the original pontiac engine? That's blastemy. I clicked a link from a OHC6 firebird vid and got this.

  • @w41duvernay on my engine stand, being stored and awaiting a potential rebuild.

  • looking good, whats left to be finished ?

  • Just have to paint the hood and add the wheel well and rocker chrome!

  • @ttorresd To make it run right, you'll need 3.90/4.11/4.33 gearing in the back. Either get an overdrive unit from Gear Vendors or a 5 spd to go behind the ohc6. There was some guy in Utah who had unground cams for the engine (Woodland sports). I think Crane cams and comp cams have regrind profiles for that engine.

  • @w41duvernay yeah! I want OHC 6. Just got to look @ mine insted!

  • Fine job on a fine ride.

  • Why use a modern engine and still use a stupid carb?

  • good job, looks great

  • This is looking great! I'm geting my 68 Camaro done (in England in the UK) i got 2 vids up of progress so far, much work still needs to be done. Yeah the engine bay is black, and the underside of the hood too. It must be really satisfying to se it like this.

  • man its come a long way

  • great job. I really like the color. What did you do for the fuel pump set up? Im doing the same with regards to the ls conversion. Did you integrate the brake lamp switch for the TCC transmission switch? Im just finding out about all these little things.

  • Beautiful job akman

  • Paint job looks terrific! Really impressive for a DIY job.

  • Great job! How many times did you block and prime it? Is it wet sanded? And one other request, start it up!!

  • do the vents work?

  • I would have kept the six in the bird, don't feel right putting a Chevy engine in a Pontiac.

Well done on the rest, looks amazing.

  • @akman360 you know, you can still get shorty headers and a 4bbl manifold for that OHC6 from Clifford.

Finding a cam will be a little harder. I think there is a small company that makes cams for it. The guy does

it as a side project. I can find them if your interested. It WON'T be cheap. Egge makes a 4bbl cam for it as well.I would go with the aftermarket version. There is a forum on the web that gets into Sprint 6s on the web as well. I don't know if you have a manual or an auto.

  • NIce work Man. Looks great and excellent color choice!

  • whereed you get the windshield? im actually gonna start restoring a 72 chevelle and after fixing the pillar i need a new windshield and ive been looking around at prices

  • Holy hell. This is why HD was made. To see this sort of sex.

  • nice car!

  • wow car has came a long way fast looks good

  • the camaro engine bays were painted "chassis black". same with the firebird
