We have the same tradition! Our grandpa always bought them for us. When we were younger he would put them right outside of the front door, then knock the wall claiming Santa had just dropped them off, knocked the door and ran like he was doing some kind of ding-dong-ditch prank.

In my house the tradition is that Mom hides the presents in all kinds of strange places: it's a looot of fun! Nice "meeting" your sister :)
