I got this tank scratched up with coraline algae all over the place and a crack on the top brace. Ive since cleaned it polished it with Novus #2, drilled larger bulk heads (1 1/2"), patched the crack with Weld on #3 and ran the plumbing. This is a leak test for the plumbing and sump size. This will be my last used tank because this project has kicked my A$$!

  • might not be as functional as a over flow seeing as how a over flow will cover more area but yes you can use just normal plumbing from home depot. after you drill the tank set up 90 degree elbows inside the tank connected to the bulk heads to adjust the water levels and to help keep the fish from going into the overflow 90's

  • I can get those white tubes from a hardware store right? how much are those white tubes? instead of buying the over flow box I can get tubes and drilling the tank as a over flow box right?
