Bloodforged vs Halazzi (Lynx)

One of our kills of Halazzi, the Lynx Avatar of Zul'Aman.

And yes, I typoed the date, we did this in 2007.

Some tips for tankadins on this fight:


If your tank partner can take it, let them main tank the fight and just stay on top of the MT to absorb the cleaves. After a cleave, a paladin tank can Holy Light themselves for a bit of health between cleaves. It of course won't be much in tanking gear, but every bit helps on this encounter.

We concentrate DPS on Halazzi himself since the tank already has a threat lead and I just pick up the Lynx. There are other tactics, use what works best for you. Regardless, if you are picking up the Lynx be sure to have a macro to pick it up, as the Lynx really likes to run out of Consecrate before it ticks. Judge/Righteous Defense when he spawns.

As a pally on this fight who isn't healing the raid, I give myself the job of cleansing the Flame Shock DoT, its something the healers should not have to worry about since the fight is pretty intense with healing. Since I'm off-tanking the Lynx and he doesn't hit very hard, I don't really need to go into an optimum threat cycle. As such, I just keep the Lynx's attention and cleanse the extremely deadly DoT.

It's a relatively easy encounter to get into farm status after a few tries at it and a rewarding fight to perfect.

How do you bind your left and right action bars that are added like to do 1st one you click Shift 1 ?

It's a macro, it looks like this:

/cast [modifier:shift] Blessing of Kings; Greater Blessing of Kings;

That's just one example. I also use it to shift between Exorcism and Holy Wrath, as well as Find Minerals/Sense Undead.
