A selection of the work from Jonathan Stacey, A photographer from UK now living in Western Australia. All images are shot with a Nikon D90 and using a Sigma 10-20mm lens with various combinations of HiTech ND filters, reverse ND graduated filters, a B&W 10 stop ND110 filter and Heliopan Polarising filter. Gitzo tripod and head.
Work can be viewed and purchased from http://www.redbubble.com/search/Jonathan+Stacey. Follow him with the iPhone app iFolio free from the iTunes App store. This slideshow uses an astounding piece of music from Ludovico Einaudi entitled Oltremare from his album Divenire.
As a side note, I do not use photoshop, far too complicated for me, I use Adobe Lightroom and generally only use the fill light, vibrance, white balance and graduated filters to bring out what the photograph already has, Everything in my videos is exactly what was shot, no blending of two images etc etc....just to clarify a few sceptics.

  • I would like you to take a look at my latest pictures with a setup somehow like yours. /watch?v=qCHmEqbUkU8

  • @pgice Filters over HDR every time. You can't beat the realism and live depiction of a scene that a filter offers. HDR makes everything look false.

    Great video btw. :)

  • @AreaQNH870 nope..filter alert! ;)

  • eeew HDR alert!

  • Jaw dropping, really! I'm curious though: When you're using the 10-stop ND, do you use any other filters? (other NDs, polarizers, etc) and also, given the exposure length and changing lighting conditions at sunset/sunrise, how do you meter accurately??

  • Oh my gosh I love 2:32

  • Great stuff truly AWESOME.

  • awesome!
