all of these commenters are quite ridiculous. why completely discount the idea that the cat was not abused and was only shown being left for the purpose of the film, and was not actually abandoned? don't believe everything you see. it was, i'm sure, done solely for the video, and "no animals were harmed in the making of."
leaving on that note, i really enjoyed this song.
