So unfair... and so tragical... R.I.P to all the passengers who had to suffer such a cruel destiny, and my condolences to the families. GOD ? where were you when this happened...

yeah man...this must be a horrible experience...imagine, you talk with your loved one just a couple hours before the take off, and go to the airport to pick him/her up , and it is written there "delayed -retarded"...and they announce the ppl to tell them that AF447 has "dissappeared"..in the HUGE Atlantic...They dont say "they´re dead" but they use the word "disappeared" - which in that case can only mean "death"..even if you survive in the "mid Atlantic" this is also "death"...

one thing I don't get...Air France knew already at night, that something went terribly wrong with AF 447. They received the ACARS failure messages, and the plane did not make any contact with African ATC. Why did they let the families and relatives come to CDG the next morning? why didn't they realize earlier, that there was no hope anymore for AF 447? If a plane sends failure messages from a thunder storm over the Atlantic and doesn't make any contact with ATC, what did they think what happend?

@AnonymousElektron I agree, you just replied to wrong person.

@Pvjinflight please refrain from this foolish line of thinking.
The official story is fine -- no, there wasn't some kind of vast conspiracy to splash this plane, it was a tragic coincidence.
The fact is, you're just a small person on the internet, with no evidence of anything, just fear, uncertainty, and doubt.
The North American people will never be interested in that.
We offer hope, certainty, and change.
Just crawl back into your hole, LOL.
We we've already won.

THe fact is we have little or no idea what happened to this flight. it could of been a highjacking. You also have to consider that it is highly likely terrorists are employed at airports around the world in all jobs ranging from baggage handlers. It is pretty impossible to profile terrorists as suicide mission terrorists usually come from clean backgrounds and have been recruitred from a young age to devote thee entire life to carrying out an attack even if it takes them there entire life

Air France officials stated in a report (which was later mentioned on National Public Radio) that the aircraft went down after a pitot tube failure. This would have caused the pilots' instruments to malfunction - particularly their attitude indicator, which some call the "artificial horizon".
May the victims of this terrible accident rest in peace.

@Pvjinflight What language are you typing in?
It looks to me like you are typing bollox mate

Unthinkable, its just something you wouldnt exspect to happen, and not that the planes even been found D:
I think flight 447 is the bermuda triangles most recent victim :(
my deepest condolences to family and friends who lost their loved ones may they rest in peace.

This is so sad. I can't even begin to imagine how devastating it must be for the passengers' families to find out the way they did. Truly, a tragedy. R.I.P to everyone aboard AF447
