Escada Anti-Fur Protest New York City 1-26-08

Activists took to the street Saturday 1-26 in protest of Escada's continued sale of fur and fur trimmed items.

As part of a global campaign to stop Escada from profitting from the torture and death of animals, activists stood in the cold and shamed Escada's 5th avenue store and the one or two customers they had.

Escada, until you take the fur off your racks and promise to never sell fur again, this campaign will continue and you will keep getting these loud and angry visits.

One thing is the same in all the global reports from the people working on this campaign - your stores are always empty. Where are your customers, Escada?

a.) these people don't WANT fur, regardless of if they can afford it or not. fur is disgusting and cruel.

b.) these people ALL have jobs or are students - everything from working in nonprofit groups to lawyers to doctors.

c.) if by "all day" you mean 2 hours per location on the weekends.

I know it must be very confusing to your little world when you see people who give a damn about things and are willing to spend their days off fighting to end the suffering of helpless animals.
