Every time you see the word "praise" in the Bible, there's a specific meaning to the word, depending on which Hebrew word it's referring to. In this podcast, Jeff turns to the Bible to discuss 7 common Hebrew words for "Praise", and why it's important for you to understand the difference.
Halel is the actual word for Praise not Baruch which means bless.

There is no High letters in Hebrew , all letters in Hebrew are low case letetrs .

Barak is not a Hebrew Word, Barak is actually an Arabic word meaning bless and the Hebrew equivalent is Baruch, don't know where you study your Hebrew.

Jeff - Thanks for your passionate teaching! Just wondering . . .You used Ps. 72:15 as an example of 'barak' praise. That psalm seems to be referring to praying for and kneeling before an earthly king (small 'k') It appears that is the prayer of a king (King Solomon) for his son (see verse 1). Can you give us some other scripture references for the 'barak' kind of praise being used towards our Heavenly Father?
Many thanks!

It's amazing to me how even though I had no previous knowledge of these 7 different types of praise, God still lead me to do these things in church or when I was by myself. Praise God that his truth is timeless... God bless you Jeff
