My first time ever playing in front of an audience. The lyrics I'd written out by hand were much lower than I could clearly see, especially during the second verse; all apologies for the goofs!

This was at Christianne's Lyceum on December 5, 2008.

Subliminal Criminal
by Michael Lagace

Backwards, forwards, they're both the same way
Feathers in a fruit stand, melons on motorways
I don't think but I think I do anyways
I'm a little snail sipping acid with a heavyweight
Everybody looking like they came from the graveyard
Penny for your thoughts and a nickel for the late charge
You're all lighting up like you're blips on my radar
I'll beat you in a battle, I'm a modern-day Braveheart
Gotta stay sharp like surgical nurses
I write each of my verses perfectly cursive
Without any curses, consider them worthless
I'm two definitions of the purest wordsmith

Oh...

I'm the voice of the future without an ear to speak to
Soon you'll be alone without a leader to lead you
KC left Seattle for some Mexican Seafood
Now he's On A Plain 'cause of Love, it's see-through!
I still love a lady who is always on paws
Call her a tramp and I'll break your damn jaws
If you pull the right string, you can make a man talk
Or you show a little skin, he'll say anything you want
Ponies in the stable go wild for a mustang
I'm coming and I'm going in my drive-through spunk bank
Withdrawal what withdrawaled spank?
Give a hookah to the leper doing blades in the drunk tank

Oh...

I write rhymes, I don't write rap
Throw me in the shark tank, watch me bite back
I'll eat 'em all for breakfast like a light snack
And savour all the flavour of you bitter little brats
I'm somewhat out of place when I'm getting to the corn maze
Nature's water broke and it fell into a storm drain
A Brave New Sunday, call it Our Ford's Day
Sitting on the fencing, bored with all this swordplay
Green felt fishing, we should drop the anchor
Counting all your stacks got you acting like a banker
Subliminal criminal knowing all the dangers
Moved out to the city, started slanging with some gangsters

Oh...
