Sweet channel dude.

This was after Jimmy's untimely death in July 1947; the band tried to stay together, under the direction of pianist Eddie Wilcox and sax player Joe Thomas, but shortly after this was recorded, it disbanded for good.

Bob, did you happen to catch my preview videos this evening or what? I've got a 1949 Lunceford ghost band 78 from 1949 on Manor 1111 set to post sometime this weekend myself! In fact, it has 2 tunes recorded RIGHT after this one (mtx #'s 1577 & 1578!).
Gonna have to change my post order. ;)
