Twilight is an upcoming film adaptation of Stephenie Meyer's best-selling novel of the same name.

Plot synopsis

Seventeen-year-old Isabella Swan moves to the small town of Forks, Washington to live with her father, Charlie. There, she finds herself drawn to a mysterious classmate, Edward Cullen, who is revealed to be a 107-year-old vampire. Although Edward discourages the romance, they soon fall in love. When the arrival of three nomadic vampires puts Bella's life in danger, Edward and his family must band together to save her before she is killed.

Production

When Summit Entertainment reinvented itself as a full-service studio in April 2007, it began development of a film adaptation of the 2005 vampire novel Twilight written by Stephenie Meyer,[2] having picked up the rights from Paramount Pictures in a turnaround.[3] The company perceived the film as an opportunity to launch a franchise based on the success of Meyer's book and its sequels.[4] The following October, Catherine Hardwicke was hired to direct the film with Mark Lord and Melissa Rosenberg penning the script.[5] Production began in February 2008,[1] and filming lasted until May 2.[6] Scenes were filmed primarily in Portland, Oregon.[7] Kalama High School is serving as the primary setting for the school in the book, having been chosen over Forks High School itself.[8] Other scenes were also filmed in St. Helens, Oregon.[9] The studio hopes to create a series of at least three films based on Meyer's books.[10]

Robert Pattinson as Edward Cullen, a 107-year-old vampire who appears seventeen. He is Bella's love interest.

Peter Facinelli as Carlisle Cullen, a four-hundred-year-old vampire who looks to be in his late 20s. He serves as the town's physician and is the father figure of the Cullen family.

Elizabeth Reaser as Esme Cullen, Carlisle's vampire wife and a mother figure to the Cullen family.

Ashley Greene as Alice Cullen, a member of the Cullen family who can see the future.

Jackson Rathbone as Jasper Hale, also a member of the Cullen family who can control emotions and Alice's eternal love.

Nikki Reed as Rosalie Hale, a beautiful vampire who is also a member of the Cullen family.

Kellan Lutz as Emmett Cullen, a member of the Cullen family who is described as a teddy bear. He is Rosalie's husband and true love.

Cam Gigandet as James, leader of a group of nomadic vampires who intends to kill Bella.

Am 14. November kommen Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart und Taylor Lautner in die Münchner Olympiahalle!! Die Karten sind zwar schon vergriffen, aber auf ebay gibt's zum Glück noch ein paar!!! Stichwort: Robert Pattinson Taylor Lautner

diese szenen sollten eigendlich in den film, aber der wurde denn dadurch zu lang (ja wegen paar sek.) und deshalb kamen sie raus, wenn man sich die dvd kauft sind die szenen bei den exrtas mit dabei, mal so da is eine sehr tolle szene dabei, für alle die gerne sehen würden wie bella und edward im bett knutschen^.- meine empfehlung schade das genau das rausgenommen wurde^^ hat aber der autorin nicht gepasst. 5* toller trailer
