Free McBoot 1.7 Install tutorial

A new tutorial for installing the latest version of FMCB 1.7

all the files needed and the original tutorial (reading recommended) is found here:

this tutorial used the ARmax with Max media player as a boot device and FCEU NES emulator as a loader for the install. This workaround method is needed on some slim models. some models can run FMCB_install.ELF directly from ARmax.

I made this video much shorter and to the point than my earlier 1.6 install. Pause this video if you need to slow down the steps or check out the earlier 1.6 install video for a more step by step look. Installation in 1.7 is the same as in 1.6 except 1.7 does not need to be manually configured for application paths.

I have a PAL Ps2, I have a modded ps2 using free mc boot on my ps2 memory card, and I burn my Naruto 8 in 1 game (says usa but its japanese writing and stuff when i play it), when i put it in my slim ps2 it comes in black and white, I have ESR and I patched the game and even used ntsc to pal, I don't know why the game appears in black and white :(, can anyone help?

@Miles52431 Japan use NTSC television standard, it is not compatible with PAL.

this will work on PS2 SLIM 90001?

upon further research, i have found that you may encounter problems installing on a 90001 model, the mod may or may not work on that series. You can try but since refurb ps2 are so cheap now, you could consider getting an earlier model that is more mod friendly.

where is the FCEU.ELF file??? i cant download it.
