I watched that live on the circuit and talked to other pilots ans supervisors, he's fine. He inhaled some smoke and went to the hospital right away. These cars are made of fiber, not metal, so yes, the catch on fire easily, but I don't think Stock Car is a fail. It hasn't been around for long, and it's different racing from Nascar.
It was a terrible accident though, but these things happen. I mean, it's now like there's never been an accident in Nascar, specially during it's first years.

@18carNASCAR Im a big NASCAR fan myself but your comment is extremely arrogant and idiotic. This series has some of the best racing and just because your on a road course does not mean your going slow. Also NASCAR has many series that race on only road courses or have a majority of road courses. For example the NASCAR Canadian Tire Series, NASCAR Corona Series, and Grand-Am.

I finally figured out why almost all other stock car series other than NASCAR and every NASCAR owned series doesnt race on ovals. The owners of there series are too cheap to invest ion money to upgrade the safety of the cars so they always slow them down on the road courses so they dont go as fast. Other than NASCAR and NASCR owned series Stock Car Racing = Fail
