  • I used to either use a nailset to avoid hitting the rail with the hammer, or just push the spike into the wood with pliers.

  • @MMODoubter We use wood glue, I dont think that it really matters what the brand is.

  • I watched you nail the track. Though you can do that... It is much more difficult to remove the track when you find a need to change trackwork. I am with the Vista Antique Gas and steam engine museum's N scale model train club southern California. What we do is glue the track and cork roadbed down. The reason for that is that it enables you to be able to remove the track fairly easily with little to no problems.
