Matte Painting / Set Extension Test

So this is basically just a test I made to try using a matte painting / set extension in a shot. I filmed this the previous winter, but the manual mask keyframing was too time consuming so I put the whole project on hold.

Though recently I bought Adobe MC CS5 and decided to give the rotobrush a try and it went amazinly faster and the results are much better than the little hand animation I managed to do. So I used the new Adobe Dynmaic link to move the comp into premiere to put together this before and after shots. And I'm telling you. Encoding/rendering with rotobrush takes INSANELY long time. It was almost rendering for 24 hours on the rotobrush part alone, and mind you that I'm talking about 10-15 seconds here.

However I think the result came out pretty good!
