@hotprofdude hollywood bowl was huge and it was in early july of 68 the doors were the founders of large arena concerts they started off with small gigs true bc there wasnt anyone promoting larger arenas but jim did tour his ass off to the point where he dreaded the nights he performed and this is all from books ive read

@7294smk ...because the rock industry was in its formative phase...there was no arena rock...Woodstock was more than one year away...you took gigs whereever you could get them..also, The Doors weren't a legend in July 1968...even they were a band that had produced 2 number one hits...you should know your American hisotry and rock history before you make assumptions. READ BOOKS.

Why would Morrison even be here. It just shows how they toured his ass into the ground.

Interesting to watch Jim's body language with no sound.

This video could've used some sound
It's funny...I remember I saw the Doors live in Frankfurt, Germany, in the summer of 68...the room wasn't even full and the most of the audience left after the Jefferson Airplane, who opened the night, ended their gig...I remember I stayed to see the Doors, that I didn't even know that well, and they played for nearly 30 minutes...but it was pretty exciting,I still remember that!

This was a great concert. Like Sirsarkis above, I saw Morrison go under the stage too. He brought his microphone with him and tried to get girls to go under the stage with him. I remember paying a whopping dollar to see them play. Awesome concert!
