Nickie was my baby. We had to put her to sleep because she had cancer in her mouth that kept getting worse. She lived a lot longer than any one thought she would because she had heart and thyroid problems (which is why she was fat but got really skinny when she was older).
My dad found her in a parking lot one day. We named her Nickel but have always called her Nickie. Her and I had a special bond. I know it sounds weird but, as I progressed in my life...so did she. The rough point in my life, she never came out of my room. She just stayed in there like how my life was and how I was. As things got better for me and I grew more confident...so did she. She started coming out of my room and standing her ground. The odd thing is...the day I was moving, she went downhill and we put her to sleep. It was almost like she thought I didn't need her anymore. It made me so sad and made me realize how much she had been there for me and how we had changed so much in the same ways over the years. I will miss her dearly. RIP Nickie Nick.

this is really sad, becasue my cat TIGER died today 1992-2010,,17 years... he had cancer(crying right now)
