This is the a music video made as filler for the actual 2007 XC video, which wasn't done in time for the event that justifies the video's entire existence: Fall Sports Awards Night. Why wasn't the video done in time, you might ask? In part, it was because both people who work on the movie were in a musical (soon to be put on YouTube, hopefully) that was performed three days before the video needed to be shown. Yet, mostly, it was because of laziness. Either way, I'm not really sure where the idea for this came from, the only possibility being a combination of 'High School Musical' exposure, and the flu. Overall, I was pretty happy on how it turned out, with the VERY convincing lip syncing working an amazing 0.3% of the time! Fantastic! Coordinating the bathroom and the auditorium scenes weren't as agonizingly horrible as I had originally thought, and looking back, worked fairly well. This entire thing (barring the random running shots) was filmed after practice on a school day.
The shots with the camera ahead of the singer/singers were shot by me sitting in a garden cart (shown being pulled at 2:48) While the ride was bumpier than I would have liked, it still worked better than me jogging backwards in front of the people, holding the boom box that was blaring the 'Fox on the Run' song in one hand, and the camera in the other. However, the scene in the grocery store (Thanks a million, Keith!) was in fact filmed by me walking in front of everyone, and is smoother than the shots with the cart, so I guess this whole paragraph is crap. By the way, in case you were wondering, the mad song that we are all 'singing' (Hehe, do you get it? We're not REALLY singing, silly!) is 'Fox on the Run' by Sweet.

IF YOU DO NOT WANT A SALES PITCH, JUST WATCH THE VIDEO, LEAVE A COMMENT (comments are good) AND GO ABOUT YOUR LIFE* We're planning on putting this video on the 2007 Cross Country DVD, and hopefully we've worked out the compression issues so that we can include a 'Directors Commentary' track along with it. The DVD includes the main video, (not yet up on YouTube) this video, and a 'Not Seen In Theaters' video (not even made yet) all with Directors Commentary. Also included is a teaser trailer for the 2008 Cross Country season, slide shows of the season*, interviews with the seniors of the team, the foreigners, and the coach, and a killer Techno soundtrack recorded and produced by members of the XC team. All for ten bucks. Not worth it, huh? Yeah, thats my thinking, too. But, if you really want one, just email me (the address is on my main page) and we'll work something out.
*May not appear on the DVD, depending how boring it is. Also, although we'll try fitting all that stuff on, we may not be able to, and if that happens, I'll update this page accordingly. Boy, thats a big, unwieldy word, isn't it? Accordingly. Just sounds like you could poke someone's eye out with it.

Yeah...I agree with you. Of course, looking at it now, there are a LOT of things I would have loved to fixed/done better...but alas...oh well. Thanks for watching-despite the lighting!

'Fox on the Run,' by Sweet. They are the same people who did 'Ballroom Blitz.' And, somewhat less notably, 'Little Willy.'
So yeah, the song is called 'Fox on the Run.' Thanks for watching!

This is an awesome video especially since i love running in CC and i love the part where the girl is peeing in the urnal. By the way the song is perfect for cross country great vid!
