  • Whenever I hear this song, I think of Russo-Finnish War and it pumps up all my nonexistent Finnish blood.

Altho Finland didnt rly win, they stopped the Russians decisively:

25,000 Finnish casualties compared to 250,000-1 million Russian casualties. Thats one awesome, tough-ass country.

  • Beautiful...Both song and pictures.

  • @NSLV527 The Russians thought that they can easily cow the Finns into submission! Whether we like it or not, God has a purpose why He put the Finns in that particular place and I agree with you, one the purposes is to stop the spread of communism!

  • @NSLV527 and probably stopped the communism spreading to further west like to Sweden, I'm sure Stalin wasn't going to stop till finland.

  • where do you live?

the pictures are beautiful both from the place you used to live and from the place you live now.

  • Never been to Finland, but I love the music Sibelius wrote about his country. Swan of Tuonela, Karelia Suite, and Tapiola - all very deep and moving. Greetings from England.

  • Beautifal maa ja kieli! Aion muuttaa Suomen isona

  • I feel the exactly the same way........it is fascinating how a person can feel ties to a country without having any apparent reason :)

  • short yet beautiful
