@fartenberg OFcourse it wasn't! They used facepaint! It was a commentary on the "elephant in the room". You know the expression. This elephant is as harmed as he would have been in a zoo. He was just standing in a room.

Love the art... wtf is with that life elephant in there... no doubt its cool but no art should be at the expense of an animal's health. hope the paint isnt toxic.

It was not toxic - but the Los Angeles animal control people stepped in after the first day of the exhibit and for the remainder of the installantion the elephant was not painted.

Thank you - I do too. You know our government may have its' head up its' own arse - but not the art community - We were very lucky to have hosted this show!
