  • Just listen to yourself: you have "engaged". Wow!

Do you speak ancient Greek, Hebrew, Latin, Syriac and Aramaic?

  • Nope, I cannot speak them. However, I can read Koine and classical Greek. I also have a background in Hebrew, Aramaic and Coptic.

I assume this comment was a concession that you have no argument. Fair enough.

  • This is getting ridiculous. You are sitting on your high horse and think the sun shines out of your whatever.

And yet you don't bring anything but rhetorics and semantics. You don't answer questions. You love talking down to others. You are not interested in other's people's opinions, all you want is to preach. Spread your nonsensical sermons and be happy.

  • I haven't preached anything. Unlike you, I have engaged with (1) scholarship, (2) historical methodology and (3) the primary sources. All you have left is empty assertion after empty assertion. It seems that there is a reason why your hypothesis convinces no one - and you really aren't doing anything to its favour.

And do point to these questions I haven't answered instead of constantly talking about some "4 questions" which I can't for the life of me work out what you are referring to.

  • So - your argument has been that there were *many* Jesus' instead of one Jesus. You brought forward the birth narratives as irrefutable proof. However, the birth narratives consistently testify to the same Jesus. A Jesus who was miraculously conceived; a Jesus whose parents were Mary and Joseph; a Jesus who had brothers and sisters among them James who continued Jesus' mission after his death.

Please do present some meaningful evidence instead of accusing me of preaching nonsensical sermons.

  • Appreciated this video and the important points it makes, thank you. I read Dr Bauckham's Jesus and the Eyewitnesses some years ago and found it tremendously enlightening. I have searched for scholarly rebuttals and not found any to date.

  • @StopSpamming1 aha troll

  • He says that people back then only thought you could write history during the lives of the eyewitnesses. But weren't the first biographies of Alexander the Great written about 300 years after his death?

  • So your argument is that Jesus did more than one thing in his life, therefore there were multiple Jesus' talked about in the NT. Despite the fact that they are biographies of a specific Jesus, in a specific time period, from a specific region, teaching a specific message, with specific relationships with family and disciples. Note, these places, regions and people are named.

I don't need a reason why one single person is right - but I see no reason why you are right.

  • 1) So, do tell me what about the gospels and whatever you mean by "eyewitness argument" has to confirm your idea?

    2) Oh, you argued that everyone agreed that both mentions in Josephus were fake. You even went to the extent of falsely citing scholar. It was pretty funny on my end; pathetic on yours.

    3) And that is why your argument isn't convincing. It has been rejected as purely fanciful polemics, not scholarship.
