I agree that casino's make a lot of money and they should pay more, but thats really all irrelevant . What matters here is did the Slot machine actually malfunction. They are computers and computer code and hardware at times can have issues. Then the question becomes if it did happen, how is that the issue of the customer, to me it is not and they should pay fair and square, but they are certainly not obligated to do so by law in any form.

read the fine print on the machine.... malfunction voids all pays
-
@belugafishgod Look at the paytable on the machine, do you honestly think the payoff on a penny video poker machine is going to jump from $792.00 to One Million Dollars. There wasnt a machine malfunction for her hand, there was a posting error made by the progressive software. And maybe this jackass can take some English lessons and realize that she has rights already.

@tall32guy Also it even was posted above the machine that the payout was $1 mil.. so if the casino had a problem with that payout, they should have changed it. that's unfair to be advertising a payment for months... and once it's hit not honor it. Its not like the management staff at that casino didn't notice that the machine was offering a $1 million payout.

@tall32guy Casinos make more than enough money, but they are greedy. They don't want to lose. We don't know this was a legitimate function for 1, and for 2, even if it was that's the casinos fault - for installing and not checking up on the machines. That's part of the risk of business

@0Mellennium0 O__O Wow! Well there's one that I go to around my town here, and they'd better never ask *me* to do that, because I'll tell everyone I know that goes out there not to go anymore and tell them to tell *their* friends that too! That's dumb! A lot of these casinos make enough money to afford nice stuff so it shouldn't be an issue! The one I go to just put in all new carpets and has new machines going in all the time! LOL
-
@tall32guy yeah, but we don't know that it was a legitimate glitch. It probably was just an excuse by the casino, simply because they don't want to pay. Just because we have a bad economy, doesn't give the casino an excuse to make up lies in order to avoid payment. I feel like casinos are corrupt enough as it is - I know people who have been asked to leave the casino because they were winning too much.
-
@0Mellennium0 I agree with you about the economy eventually collapsing. Probably within the next few years, I would guess. But to me, that isn't the issue in this case. The issue is, that the machine had a glitch, and said the wrong amount of zeros. End of story. LOL

@tall32guy The economy is only going to get worse, there is no way it's going to get better without a dollar collapse. The federal reserve and government are responsible for the mess that we are in, so don't hold her accountable for our shitty economy. Thus, it isn't an excuse to not pay her the money.
people pay millions of dollars ....to win and still they lose their money. This woman actually won but the casino won't honor it. Nobody can trust the casinos to honor their side of the bargain. They dangle all these jackpots in front of millions of people like a carrot in front of a horse and yet when someone wins they do shit like this. That is not fair. It is a rip off....pay her the money!!!
