Jungle Inn Luxury Room - Bukit Lawang - Sumatra

Want to visit the Best jungle in the World!

I dont know if its this one, but its the best I've ever been to.........twice!

Bukit Lawang was very unforutate and suffered flash flooding on 3rd November 2003.

Around 400 houses, 3 mosques, 8 bridges, 280 kiosks and food stalls, 35 inns and guest houses were destroyed by the flood, including 239 people (5 of them were tourists) were killed and around 1,400 locals lost their homes.[3] Thanks to several international cooperation agencies, the site was rebuilt and re-opened again in July 2004

I visited before and after and can say they are still recovering, slowly but surely.

We stayed here at the Jungle Inn - We tried out 3 different rooms, I video'd two of the best (although they're all great).

This is like MTV Cribs! Just finished - the honeymoon sweet was a dream pad!

I think cause it was still undergoing some minor construction on the out side, we were able to get such a good price.
How ever I would of paid more any day!

Please go and visit and look after the place, dont drop litter, dont feed any local animals! we got attacked by a troop of pigtailed macaques and it wasn't nice! although when we looked back - it was funny!

We went on orangutang treks and saw loads of cool stuff including turtles, hornbills, snakes, lizards etc..

@uzock100 ? it's cheap... No it WAS cheap, as with everything, prices go up.

To be honest it was ME robbing them for the price we got, to live in the real jungle and be so close to the wildlife, plus the people are so welcoming and food is great (that should stay cheap)

Its a shame when places get expensive and ruined (like thailands Koh Samui etc...) but this place should have the right people visiting. There are other places if this is now to much bucks for you (it is for me now!!!)
