My attempt at a time lapse hiking from about the backpackers camping area up to the top of Half Dome at Yosemite.
Unfortunately, I had it set way too slow, so it lost all fluidity. It was set to one picture every 3 seconds, it probably should have been set to 1 or 2 seconds, since I was jogging for the majority).
holding the camera would have been impossible during the wire climb, so strapping it to myself was essential. It also made a great conversation piece with the fellow hikers.

I had the Hero camera mounted on my head like a headlamp. Unfortunately, I had the frame rate set much too low. Compounding the problem, I walked fast thinking that I would run out of memory, which I didn't come close to.
If you are going to film one as well, I suggest you select a frame rate of 1 frame per second or more unless you hike slow. With all the switchbacks, slow frame captures make a incomprehensible video like mine.

Interesting video. Did you have the camera mounted on yourself or did you just hold it? Doing Half Dome next week and want to do something similar.
