This is the result of months of trial and error. This jib has a machanical pan & tilt head and is ten feet long. ninty percent of the parts were baught at The Home Depot, the other ten percent at Lowes, with the execption of the Lanc controller which was taken off of a $99.00 Sony tripod. My next step is to build the final product which will be able to support up to ten pounds (this one only support about five pounds). The movements of the pan and tilt head also needs to be smother. I will post the final product once it's constructed, along with footage recorded using the jib.
