so i jst got a used 2009 eclipse gs with 19000 miles and i notice some thing. The indash makes some kinda squek noise whn i go tru a moderate or small bump its really botherin me alot cos i dnt like that squeky noise and also whn i step on the break or make quick stop i could hear the gas in my gas tank make some kinda water movement. plse is this common among the eclpse 2009 coz im not happy with the noise and hearin my gas shake up and down.

I have the same 3.8L Mivec Engine in an 07 galant ralliart model. Do you know if rre headers for the eclipse 4g gt would work on the galant engine as well?

@cmcmahon92 They did fix the indash noise but as for the gas tank noise I don't hear it anymore or I got use to it plus I have a subwoofer and my music is always loud

Well, there you go. Simply all I was talking about, stock. The Eclipse is the most fragile car, and difficult to modify anyways. Only thing I would even consider throwing into my car is a CAI and an exhaust system.

If I want something to modify, Id buy a Supra.

@xDilutedx The GS a better car to modify is the fact that it has a proven power plant. The 4G69 has been built many times. Turbo Builds are becoming more and more plentiful in the Lancer RA and other cars with the 4G69. Theres a reason the EVO doesn't have a V6 power plant. V6= Heavy and no power for there displacement, Turbo I4= Awesome gains with much more tunable motor. Just because the GT is the more popular choice doesn't make it better. Stock 4 Stock the GT is leaps and bounds better.

@YungTodd91 - Considering I owned a 2008 GS, which was sold a year later for the GT. As I previous said, you WILL be disappointed by the performance/sound/feel of the GS.

Ive owned my GT for 3yrs now and have no intention of selling it, as oppose to 1yr with the GS and was thrilled to get rid of it. I think that says enough.

@xDilutedx I brought my 06 GS for 7500 ( From a family member). That alone makes it a better choice than the GT for me PERSONALLY. Both have pros and cons.... The GS is 3200lbs or so (curb Weight), The GT is between 3400-3500lbs (curb weight), so the GS weighs less but its also 162hp vs 263hp. GS most likely would make a better Autocross car vs the GT a better Road Race/ Track day car. Neither are Drag strip monsters. Either way you will have fun in the ever so underrated 4g Eclipse.

DOnt buy Mitsubishi, my engine blew at 85000 km, and i just got a oil change 1 month prior. mitsubishi doesnt want to cover it and found any excuse to void my warranty. 6000$ later i had to get it fixed
