@firebreakerbravado Actually, Lanakaui8 is quite correct. Hawaii is incredibly ethnically varied, and most people here are racially mixed, and have been raised exposed to many different cultures. And, at it's very base, his humor is anchored on his (and on the audience's) personal experiences and knowledge. Believe me, if he were 'making fun' of any culture, without truly understanding the culture, the audience wouldn't have been laughing.

Augie is a comedian from Hawai'i, and from the looks of the audience, he is performing in Hawai'i. Over here, we can make jokes like that without people getting offended, because the society is so ethnically varied. Basically, the humor in augie's performance is based off of the society of Hawai'i which is why most of the people who comment positively on this vid are from or near Hawai'i. And at least he doesnt have to swear and make sex-jokes like most other standups.
