@brianjohns5 Its not forgetting the words, its feeling, annointing , telling you to say somehting other than what you planned to say...Aretha has a good voice, its not perfect, but she was the first to bring this music to the general public, thus making her famous. !

@wredic that's on the amazing grace album...the live concert she gave in the 70's...you kind find it as a 2 cd set....and it's amazing...not gonna lie.
i will like for Aretha to hear her Live performance of her complete recordings session with James Cleveland. is it time for her mic too be hung up? no it isnt a insult she did talk in the beginning but i will always cherish her classic recording sessions with Amazing Grace Complete Recordings which is available on her double Disc set

Really? To the person who does not understand the tradition of call and response in the Gospel church tradition calls for the singer to talk to the crowd? The talking is allowed and a welcome addition to a very spiritual experience. It is a part of the storytelling tradition. It is really ok if you didn't understand that Aretha is a master storyteller, songwriter, musician and singer and that her mic should be gilded when she does leave this earthly realm to rejoin the angels and saints. Amen.
