If they become afraid of thier socio-ethnic evolution, then this will mark the down-fall of France society as one of the global leader and they will become a laughing stock for other countries who sees France as a champion of Human liberties, dignity, and freedom!

So, French people seeking their own national identity? I think this question is BS! The question should be more focus on national solidarity among all French citizens because obviously the society itself is evolving into a more complex state. Nationality will soon be based not on racial and religious background but on the cohesion of all its social components irregardless of thier ethnic or social backgrounds. France's white citizens must not afraid of thier socio-ethnic evolution.

I think many of France's white citizens are feeling unconfortable on seeing the growing racial diversities in thier own country. Many of the black and north Africans, Pacific islanders and hispanic people are calling themselves French because they were naturalized or born in France. Many of this people are product of France historical colonial era wherein thier native lands have been colonized, educate, and thought to embrace the France culture. Now, they felt like being betrayed & abandoned!!

@JimmyJoseph91 I understand what you mean. Not saying that other cultures are evil or that we shouldn't have them, but when they make up a lot of the population the country's culture drowns. Diversity's good and to certain degrees should be tolerated. But foreign communities shouldn't be concentrated, and there should be caps on how many foreigners are admitted. WWs were disastrous, but justice will always face hardships. Broad minded is like being the jack of all trades and master of none :/

@CapitaineGuynemer You are one narrow-minded individual. Instead of shunning people who come from outside, would it not be better to integrate them and maybe even value their presence? If everyone was the same, the world would be quite dull. Diversity is what makes life wonderful. So please, try and reflect on what you have just said. The same kind of insular nationalism is exactly what brought about both World Wars- and we all know what happened there.

Multiculturalism is pollution. The Western world is being injected with cultures that do not belong in places like the UK, France, Germany, the USA. How would you feel walking through France, smelling Indian food instead of baguettes? Or seeing arab writing on shop stalls in Britain. The atmosphere is ruined. 'Minorities' have become Majorities, democracy is wrong because it is always in their favour. I want the EUROPEAN Europe that I love. Thanks, a 16 year old dissident Assyrian (no joke).

@iluvwine13 Let's say you waited your entire life to visit france and you discover that the Eifel Tower has been taken down and replaced by a muslim housing project. That's how my mother felt when she visited London and discovered that most of the people she met were actually east Indian. It's a very visceral thing. We who have strong feelings about our homelands want to return to our country and find our ancestors. It's absolutely normal. Which is why illegals are dangerous.

I'm glad the US isn't the only country that screws up its own national anthem.
Give France a chance it's a nice place and the people are lovely dispite what Rush Limbaugh, FOX news, and talk radio say.

France is nothing more than a chunk of land with boundries. The people are diverse due to years of conquest and trade. What makes the French French? Unique cuisine, art, language, fashion, wine, and architecture. Of course the people are what make all these great. This is the same with America and most of the world. Why can't we just be considered human beings? There is one human race. We can learn from each other so we could build a civilization of equality, respect, prosperity, and peace.
