  • Dude. I like Cash's just as much as I like Garden's. They're completely different but 100% equally compatible interpretations of the mood projected by the lyrics.

  • Damn, at least learn to use a mixing desk or some cheap assed mixing software, and make sure your source files are at least similar... You did a dis-service to both Johhny Cash AND Soundgarden with this piss poor attempt at a mix.... FAIL.. -1,000,000 internets from you....

  • @CMPunkLiddell4LifeO9 with all due respect, how could you call it generic.. first off the song is tuned in BADGBE or drop b and its in 4/4 for the first half and then 19/8 for the breakdown. And when you hear it you immediately know its soundgarden so how could that be generic.. if you want generic go nickleback lol... this isn't even my favorite sg song any way..

  • ENOUGH!!!!! Both versions KICK ASS!!!

  • I have to say J.R's version is better it gives me goose bumps

  • Cash is good, I like his version, but he just doesn't put the heart into it like Cornell does. He doesn't have that 'Live fucked me over' kind of tone in his voice which was the basis of every good grunge song. The way Cornell uses his range brings the song to life. Cash just doesn't give it the extra push. It's hard to make such a great song any better.

  • @exilemike Johnny cash can't play guitar like kim thayil, can't sing like chris cornell, can't play bass like ben shepheard, and he can't play drums like matt cameron. Cash is good in his own right as a singer songwritter, but it's an uneven comparison; two totally different worlds of music.

  • @PGROSYE02 Cash blows those amateurs away, they can't compare to Johnny Cash.

  • Cash is a legend and his cover is alright, but honestly what is better. An elderly man talking over an acoustic riff, or a mid twenties Chris Cornell belting out "I'm gonna break my rusty CAGE!!!" over matt cameron's 4/4 and then 19/4 beats with Kim and and Ben laying down the Sabbath-esqe strings, you tell me?

  • @NilsenPhotography serioulsy no
