  • I've been looking for this for awhile....Thanks..Bigtime!

  • I searched for years, when I found it I was shaking ,

the guy at the store could have charged me 20$ bucks & I would have paid it......

  • Was this the first song that people did the Jerk to? Or just the first to write a song about the dance which already existed? A wonderful song. People were still mentioning The Jerk in 1967. Long live the Jerk!!

  • Yes the first "jerk" song......

  • Where can i find the jackson 5 version or cover of this song? The Jackson 5 Version is called the "soul jerk" But i want the same version from the movie JACKSON AN AMERICAN DREAM. Search it up as JACKSON AN AMERICAN DREAM PART 10 it's towards the end

  • where can I find the Jackson 5 cover?

  • 1964- someone came up with a move in LA and they was buzzing about it, a relative hipped Don Julian about it, he wrote a quick lyric cut and recorded it on MINT label. as fast as they released it was all over the country, making the dance the hottest since the twist in the early 60s. you still see forms of the jerk in some new free style dances.

  • This is the same group that was known as the Meadowlarks in the mid-1950s and sang California do-wop ballads.

  • one of my top ten favourites been dancing to this since the 60s superb tune.....and definitely the larks ..
