this film is overstepping a line. It is not a directors right to "out" these politicans, everybody knows that work stays at work, and social life is out of work. I'm ashamed that a director would produce such a film that would cause much trouble in the families of those shown in the film.

This is a case where the politician's "social life" affects their work. Work which is extremely important to millions of Americans. Nobody complains about Eliot Spitzer being publicly shamed - and his issues had NOTHING to do with his work. Here it is entirely relevant.

Their politicians are just a bunch of hypocrites who care about themselves and their position of power to a degree that they pretend to be what they are not. 90% of the politicians in this movie are conservatives who preach family values and no same sex stuff while they take it up the ass at night. bunch of hypocrites

For me it makes complete sence that these outed politicians come from the far right. A confident straight person wouldn't feel threatened by gay people. A guy I once knew from school who was horrible to me. Called me a faggot many times. I discovered his Facebook profile resently, I found out he is in a relationship with a guy. It made my day!!! I made friends on Facebook with him. It healed an emotional wound I didn't realise I had until it was gone.

@Jordan258911 people that say the kind of stuff they say. i think its because they want to be part of the worldwide community that hates gay people and feel like they are apart of the 'godly few' then be apart of the 'abominations' and 'sinners' of whom are gay. fair enough you are gay and you don't want to come out (the politicians) but don't tear down the people who have accepted themselves and made peace and grown to love who they are. easy said then done, i know, but they should learn to do

@Jordan258911 I was speaking hypothetically. like hypothetically if they caught aids of another sexually transmitted disease that would hurt their girlfriends or boyfriends. I would say the same about any person who cheats on their partners. Like i said, im not a big fan of outting people, but when it comes to homophobic people who are secretly gay being outted im not going to pretend i dont get satisfaction from seeing it. its my double standard and i own it.

@Jordan258911 Regardless of what goes on in a persons life, it is not anybody's job, director or not, to out these people. You also automatically presume that these politicians have aids, just because they may cheat does not mean they have sexual diseases. I'm not saying what they are doing to their family is right, but people should not go out of their way to invade the privacy of another family and ruin other peoples lives.

@166beads but so will/would them (politicians) giving their wives or girlfriends aids because they are perhaps having unsafe sex - and in their minds doing it because they spend their life in denial about who they are and so have unprotected sex without thinking about it and lying to themselves about have sex with men because 'that's not who they are' - or when they eventually come out to their wives and or girls. @166beads I think its good how the film outs hypocrisy. If you are secretly gay and you are a senator, politician, or any kind of official and you are denigrating gay people openly and without thought or feeling for the people you are hurting, then you (they) should be outed, and I'm not a fan of outing so that's saying something. If you knew someone was about to set off a bomb wouldn't you out them. The truth of the film most probably will hurt their families which is horrible.
