The right temporal lobe is our "god spot", our connection to the divine. Of course now we know that we really have a "god brain", that there is more than just a spot that connects us to "nonlocal consciousness", the "all knowledge timeless spaceless domain" or "god".
In Tom Harpur's book and documentary, I outline for the first time the concept that all nonlocal perceptions have the same biological basis. The near death experience, past life memories, premonitions of the future, mediums, lucid dreams, and remote viewing all are simply the opening of the brain to the "all knowledge informational domain".
As an ego driven scientist, I like to point out that I came up with this concept first, as this documentary demonstrates.
@AnduinX Susan Blackmore is an atheist Buddhist and the dogma about the self as illusion and life as pure "nothingness" is obviously coloring her view.
