Trash vortex

Een klein geel badeendje wordt tijdens een stormachtige nacht met 10 duizenden soortgenoten overboord geslagen. Het badeendje gaat zijn avontuur tegemoet. Maar dit blijkt al snel een grote nachtmerrie te zijn. Tijdens deze road trip wordt hij ontvoerd door een grote vis, opgegeten door een stormvogel en zit het arme beestje voor jaren vastgevroren in het noordpool ijs. Tot hij uiteindelijk in de Trash Vortex beland en zijn soortgenoten weer terug ziet, maar of hierbij de nachtmerrie voorbij is...

Aan de hand van een road trip, van het plastic badeendje, over de stille oceaan wordt het fenomeen Trash vortex, of ook wel plastic soep genoemd, aan het licht gebracht. De kijker wordt er bewust van gemaakt wat plastic afval allemaal kan doen, en waar het terecht kan komen.


' A short animation about the plastic pollution in the great pacific. You will follow a tiny rubber duck on his journey through the rough ocean full of plastic pieces. You will see what horrible things can happen with plastic pollution. Finally this yellow fellow will end up in the 'trash vortex'.

I made this animation to make people aware about this subject, and hopefully it makes people think.'

The human body will not grow immune to it. The chemicals in plastic are already disrupting our hormonal signals and causing cancers and birth deformities. Our pollution will eventually kill us off the same way you see it killing off birds and fish here.

awww look, every single thing in the ocean has a piece of rubber on it or in it. We must protect thing's that do not adapt to darwin's theroy.... wait what?  Earth isn't going to die, it's seen much worse stuff then humans have/can do. Nope we're the ones who are going to die and thats likely the reason some people care.
